CORNERPIECE FOR USE IN MULTIPLE PANE WINDOW Abstract of the Disclosure A cornerpiece for joining adjacent, desiccant-filled tubular spacer bars to form a spacer frame for interposition between the panes of a multipane window assembly is comprised of a channel member having a web. First and second legs extend orthogonally from the web in substantially parallel spaced relation and the channel member is bent at a junction portion thereof to form first and second elongate arms. The arms are constructed to be inserted into adjacent spacer bars to join the bars thus making up the spacer frame. Each of the arms of the cornerpiece includes closure means constructed and arranged to prevent the passage of the desiccant along the interior of the arms from the junction portion to a point beyond the end of the arm. The closure means is positioned so as not to extend beyond the ends of the arms in a direction along the elongate dimension of the arms.
