PATENT Process for preparing a new p-acetamidophenol derivative Societe Anonyme named: HEXACHIMIE ABSTRACT The invention relates to a process for the preparation of p-acetamidophenyl diethylaminoacetate of formula (I) Image (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt of the said compound, characterised in that a p-acetamidophenyl haloacetate is reacted with at least an equivalent amount of diethylamine in the presence of an acceptor for the hydrohalic acid formed during the reaction, and the resulting p-acetamidophe diethylaminoacetate formed is then isolated and if desired transformed into a non-toxic acid addition salt in a manner known per se by the action of the corresponding acid.
