191-Canada ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Heretofore the digital display indication of weight loaded on a weighing scale has automatically decreased the resolution of the indication by at least one decimal place on switching from a fine to a coarse measurement range. This change in range is dependent on the total load applied to the scale, hence display indications after taring inherently lack at least one significant digit relative to the fine indication. A digital display is provided by which, at any selected point within a coarse measurement range, a control means may be actuated for switching to the starting point of the fine measure- ment range, as when weighing a component added to a previously- loaded component: the indication may thereafter be changed to read the total load weight in the coarse measurement range. Preferably, the control means are connected to the tare key for actuation therewith.
