ABSTRACT The invention relates to a plastic canister with a continuous wall formed by inflating an extruded tube, which is at least in a few wall regions reinforced by external wall elements attached to the outside of the wall and also consists of plastic, with the external wall elements comprising at least two shells which are injection-molded from a surface-stabilized low distortion plastic, which have hollow frustrums projecting into the interior of the canister and facing each other, which in the region of their opposite bottom surfaces are joined to each other, and with the shells welded flush to the blown canister wall at their inner side turned toward the canister wall. Each hollow frustrum has its circumferential wall provided with an annular bulge having a groove formed on the inner surface periphery of the hollow frustrum.
