ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosed method resides in that the spherical tool and the workpiece are imparted relative motions, viz. the main machining motion and the axial feed motion; in accordance with the invention, the main machining motion is carried out with inclusion of oscillation of the spheric- al tool relative to the hole being machine in the work- piece. The disclosed method enables to enhance the cutting conditions, to prolong the serviceability of the tool and to expand the field of its applications. The method can be effectively used, among other applic- ations, for finish and semi-finish machining of relatively deep holes (with l:d equalling or exceeding 10) and for machining holes to 2nd and 3d Accuracy Class.
