STABILIZING CHECK VALVE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A check valve comprising a housing having an annular abutment therein, a spring pressed guide in the abutment, an elastomeric disc on the guide, a conical head with an annular tapering groove facing the disc and a flat apex facing downstream, said guide having fluid passages open upon downstream pressure and the conical head and disc closing and stabilizing the valve upon lack of pressure or reverse pressure.
