ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides, as new compounds, the N-benzoyl- N'-tert.-alkoxycarbonylphenyl-(thio) ureas of the general formula Image (I) in which R1 represents halogen or alkyl, R2 and R3 independently of one another represent hydrogen or halogen, R4 represents alkyl, R5 and R6 either individually represent alkyl or together represent .alpha.,.omega.-alkanediyl and X represents oxygen or sulphur. The N-benzolyl-N'-ter.-alkoxycarbonylphenyl-(thio)ureas of the formula (I) are distinguished by an outstanding insecticidal activity.
