ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The compounds are N-substituted-dihydroxyphenethyl- amines which are cardiotonic agents, central nervous system depressant and analgetic agents. Representative of the compounds disclosed are N-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenisobutyl)- .beta.-(isopropyl)-3,4-dihydroxyphenethylamine and N-(3,4-methyl- enedioxyphenisopropyl)-.beta.-(isopropyl)-3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl- amine.
