PRECIS L'invention concerne un convertisseur pour extrémité de câbles à fibres optiques destiné à recevoir des composants opto-électroniques et comprenant une embase munie d'un perçage et portant un substrat isolant comportant au moins un perçage, le substrat étant revêtu d'une métalli- sation. Le convertisseur selon l'invention est caractérisé en ce que l'embase et le substrat comportent chacun un per- çage suivant le même axe et en ce que la métallisation du substrat présente un contour intérieur en forme de polygone régulier convexe admettant l'axe des perçages comme axe de symétrie. L'invention s'applique notamment aux télécommuni- cations par câble.
