ABSTRACT There is disclosed a plastics material pallet having a load-bearing upper deck, supporting legs which define between them engagement apertures for fork lift truck arms, and a lower deck or skids. At least one of the decks or skids has outer supporting sections whose inwardly facing sides are connected by an insert. The sections each has an upper flange and a lower flange interconnected by an intermediate web to form a profile which is closed outwardly and open inwardly This profile is complemented by the insert to form a first hollow profile which is closed along its periphery and from which supporting legs extend. And the insert is formed with at least one "second" hollow profile which is also closed along its periphery which is provided in at least one deck or inner skid. -1-
