Abstract of the Disclosure A device for corner folding of rectangular foil blanks to be app- lied to the necks of bottles, with diagonally opposed corners vertically aligned has a rotating removal element arranged eccentrically upon a rotating carrier. The removal element moves, as the said carrier rotates, first of all past a stationary storage station for the foil blanks where it receives the uppermost blank, and then transfers this blank to a rotating gripping element. A turn-over element is arranged in the path of travel of the upper corner of the blank, projecting beyond the removal element. A gate is arranged in the path of travel of the turned-over corner of the foil blank taken over by the gripping element, the gate folding the turned-over corner through about 180° in relation to its initial position in the storage station. The gate is followed by a pressure element for the folded corner.
