BLOW MOLDED CONTAINER AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE ABSTRACT A blow molded container (2) is provided which is formed from a preform or parison (1) having a neck portion with an integral handle (3) which includes a ring (4) extending substantially about the neck portion of the parison (1). The handle (3) may have different shapes and permits gripping and lifting of the container (2) and pouring contents therefrom while distributing stresses from such activities about the ring (4). The method comprises forming the preform (1) with the integral handle (3) and ring (4) disposed inter- mediate the ends of the preform (1), placing the preform (1) in blow mold (165), holding the ring (4) thereby to locate and restrict movement of the preform (1) there- within and expanding the preform (1) below ring (4) to form container (2).
