ABSTRACT Triazolylorganophosphorous compounds are disclosed, together with a process for their manufacture and their use in pest control. The compounds have the formula I Image (I) wherein X represents a fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom, Z represents an oxygen or sulphur atom R1 represents an alkyl group optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms and containing maximally 19 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group containing from 3 to 8 ring carbon atoms or an aryl or aralkyl group, i optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms, alkyl and/or halogenalkyl groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkoxy, alkylsulphinyl and/or alkyl- sulphonyl groups each containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and/or nitro groups.
