METHOD FOR THE REMOVAL OF CARBONYL SULFIDE FROM LIQUID PROPANE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for the removal of carbonyl sulfide from liquid propane under liquid-liquid contact conditions by mixing liquid propane containing carbonyl sulfide as an impurity with 2-(2-aminoethoxy) ethanol as the principal agent for the carbonyl sulfide removal. The 2-(2-aminoethoxy) ethanol is reclaimed and reused for further carbonyl sulfide removal.
