ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process for the prepar- ation of polyether polyols from a water-soluble polyhydric initiator which comprises charging a reactor with the water-sol- uble initiator, water and ammonia or an alkanolamine or a pri- mary alkyl amine or alkylene diamine mixing and reacting ethylene oxide and an alkylene oxide having three or four carbon atoms at elevated temperature , not greater than about 110°C., and pres- sure to yield a polyether polyol, said reaction occuring absent an added catalyst.
