Process for the Preparation of Halogenomethylene-indoxyls Abstract of the Disclosure Novel halogenomethylene-indoxyls [halogeno-(3-oxa- [2H]-indol-2-ylidene)-acetic acids] can be prepared by a new process by reacting N-acylanilides with dihalogeno- maleic anhydrides or derivatives thereof. The novel halogenomethylene-indoxyls are valuable intermediates for the preparation of pharmaceutically active compounds having antiallergic properties.
