ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The transmission of a parked vehicle is locked in the neutral gear by a solenoid plunger. An electric circuit including elements such as AND, NOT, OR, and Bistable Memory responds to retract the plunger when it receives simultaneously a signal indicating that the driver is seated and another signal indicating that the seated driver has fastened his seat belt.
