A B S T R A C T Compounds of the following formula have been found to have selective herbicidal action in the control of wild oats in cereal crops: Image wherein R is chlorine, bromine and/or fluorine; n is 1, 2, 3, or 4; and Y is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing up to 10 carbon atoms and bearing at least one fluorine, chlorine and/or bromine atoms.
