A system for sharing calendar information. The system may comprise a graphical user interface implemented on a computer for sharing calendar information with a third party residing at a remote site, the graphical user interface comprises a selection tool operable by a user on the computer for selecting a time range from a calendar program executed by the computer, the calendar program maintaining a schedule of events for the user over a certain time period. The time range is a subset of the certain time period, the time range being characterized by one or more free time slots within the time range, whereby the user is available for taking part in an activity. The time range is further characterized by one or more busy time slots within the time range, whereby the user is unavailable to take part in an activity. The selection tool causes the time range to be exposed to the third party residing at a remote site such that the third party can determine the free and busy timeslots.
L'invention concerne un système pour partager des informations de calendrier. Le système peut comprendre une interface graphique utilisateur mise en AEuvre sur un ordinateur pour partager des informations de calendrier avec une partie tierce résidant au niveau d'un site à distance. L'interface graphique utilisateur comprend un outil de sélection actionnable par un utilisateur sur l'ordinateur pour sélectionner une plage temporelle à partir d'un programme de calendrier exécuté par l'ordinateur, le programme de calendrier conservant un agenda d'événements pour l'utilisateur sur une certaine durée. La plage temporelle est un sous-ensemble de ladite durée, la plage temporelle étant caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un ou plusieurs intervalles de temps libres, l'utilisateur étant ainsi disponible pour prendre part à une activité. La plage temporelle est en outre caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte un ou plusieurs intervalles de temps occupés, l'utilisateur étant ainsi indisponible pour prendre part à une activité. L'outil de sélection permet d'exposer la plage temporelle à la partie tierce résidant au niveau d'un site à distance de telle sorte que la partie tierce peut déterminer les intervalles de temps libres et occupés.
