ABSTRACT A coal slurry transport ship has a hold for loading the coal slurry, the hold being provided with a drain opening in its bottom and formed in an upper portion of its peripheral wall with openings for passing supernatant water containing fine particles of the coal slurry. The hold is provided at an upper portion thereof with nozzles for injecting a high-pressure fluid, for forcibly moving the supernatant water toward the openings.
