SOLID ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR MANUFACTURE Abstract of the Disclosure A valve-metal pellet is positioned on end on each pad of an array of pads of valve-metal ink. The resulting assembly is sintered to produce an array of porous sintered pellets that are bonded through a graded density layer to a substrate. Next the assembly is anodized and an insulating polymer is applied to the substrate around the pellets. The pellets are provided with the usual manganese dioxide electrolyte and counter- electrodes. The array is thereafter separated into individual capacitors or groups of capacitors.
