PROCESS FOR THE ELECTRICAL EXCITATION OF A LASER GAS Abstract of the Disclosure In order to prevent, in the microwave excitation of a laser gas, the development of wall boundary layers and to attain a homogeneously large volume plasma, the laser gas is delivered in the inclusion zone of the microwave after passing a current- forming element where it is ignited by a coaxial wave guide ar- rangement. The ignited laser gas then spreads with the micro- wave in the discharge segment where it produces a homogeneous, excited laser-active medium. The homogeneity is additionally improved with the operation of the microwave guide near the "cut- off-width".
