A seat recliner apparatus (10) according to the invention controllably adjusts the angular position of a seat back (16) relative to a seat base structure (18) and is responsive to remote actuation by an operator. The apparatus includes a driven mechanism (26) having a recliner rod (48) adapted to be connected to the seat back (16), a drive mechanism (24) having a motor (30) for rotating the transmission rod (32) in a first and second direction, and a housing adapted to be connected to the seat base structure. The housing (94) receives the recliner rod (48) and the transmission rod (32) for operative interconnection, whereby rotation of the transmission rod (32) in the first or second direction causes the recliner rod (48) to move relative to the housing in a corresponding first and second linear direction. The housing (94) is formed of a polymeric material.
L'invention concerne un appareil d'inclinaison (10) pour siège permettant d'ajuster par commande la position angulaire d'un dossier (16) par rapport à la structure de base d'un siège (18) et qui est sensible à un actionnement à distance effectué par un opérateur.
