A powder coating composition comprises a mixture of first and second component powder coating compositions which are separated, preferably widely separated, in a triboelectric reference series indicative of the extent to which powder coating compositions may be distinguishable from one another when electrically charged. The mixed powder coating composition is especially suitable for coating articles having recessed portions. A quantitative basis is given for determining the separation of the individual component compositions in the triboelectric reference series, and preferred minimum separation criteria are given.

L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement en poudre qui comprend un mélange de première et seconde compositions constitutives de revêtement en poudre, lesquelles sont séparées, de préférence largement, dans une série de référence triboélectrique indiquant le degré de séparation possible entre les compositions constitutives en cas de charge électrique sur les compositions. La composition de revêtement en poudre mixte considérée se prête particulièrement bien au revêtement des articles comportant des cavités. On donne une base quantitative pour déterminer la séparation des compositions constitutives dans la série de référence triboélectrique, et on donne également des critères de séparation minimum préférés.
