A description is given of powder coating compositions comprising a) an organic film-forming binder and b) as stabilizer i) at least one compound of the formula I Image in which x is preferably 1 and R1 is preferably C1-C4alkyl; or ii) at least one compound from the group of the sterically hindered amines, and iii) at least one compound from the group of the organic phosphites or phosphonites. With powder coating compositions stabilized in this way the discolouration of the coating materials in the course of heat curing, especially gas oven curing, is reduced.
