A coating composition is disclosed comprising: (a) an aqueous medium, (b) an water-dispersible polyurethane resin that is the reaction product of a mixture comprising: (1) a hydroxy-functional polyester component that is the reaction product of a mixture comprising a carboxylic acid component comprising at least two carboxylic acid functional groups, a long-chain aliphatic polyol having greater than 18 to 60 carbon atoms, and a short-chain polyol having 12 or fewer carbon atoms, (2) a multifunctional compound having at least one active hydrogen group and at least one water-stabilizing group, (3) an active hydrogen-containing capping or chain extending agent, and (4) a polyisocyanate, and (c) an aminoplast crosslinking agent.
