In the present process for the preparation of urea, an off-gas stream released during the synthesis of melamine in a high-pressure melamine process which consists predominantly of ammonia and carbon dioxide is introduced into at least one high-pressure section of a urea stripping plant and is used in the synthesis of urea. The off-gas stream can be used directly without any further treatment.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'urée, lequel fait appel au jet d'effluent gazeux qui est libéré lors de la synthèse de mélamine pendant le traitement à haute pression de cette dernière. Ce jet de d'effluent gazeux, qui consiste principalement en de l'ammoniac et du dioxyde de carbone, est introduit dans une ou plusieurs sections à haute pression d'une installation de désorption d'urée, puis utilisé dans la synthèse de l'urée. Le jet d'effluent gazeux peut être utilisé directement et sans autre traitement aucun.
