A superconducting cable that is capable of absorbing any shrinkage of normal conducting wire rod at cooling by simple structuring. There is provided a superconducting cable comprising superconducting layers (superconducting conductor layer (12) and superconducting shield layer (16)) and, disposed at least either inside or outside the superconducting layers, normal conducting layers (normal conducting conductor layer (11C) and superconducting shield layer (17)). A stress relaxing layer is provided inside the normal conducting layers. Structuring is made so that any radial shrinkage of the normal conducting layer caused by refrigerant cooling is absorbed by stress relaxing layer (11B).

L'invention concerne un câble supraconducteur capable d'absorber un retrait éventuel d'un fil conducteur normal lors d'un refroidissement grâce à une structure simple. Le câble supraconducteur comprend des couches supraconductrices (couche supraconductrice de conduction (12) et couche supraconductrice de blindage (16)) et des couches conductrices normales (couche de conduction normale (11C) et couche conductrice de blindage (17)) disposées au moins à l'intérieur ou à l'extérieur des couches supraconductrices. Une couche de relâchement des contraintes (11B) est placée à l'intérieur des couches conductrices normales. Cette structure permet à la couche de relâchement des contraintes (11B) d'absorber un retrait radial éventuel des couches conductrices normales suite à un refroidissement par fluide frigorigène.
