A multiplexing power converter (20) for use with a single inductor (32) for providing multiple power outputs is disclosed. The multiplexing power converter (20) includes first switching means (26) for providing a first low resistance path for current to flow from a power source (VIN) through an inductor (32) so as to energize the inductor (32), and at least one second switching means (28) for providing at least one second low resistance path for current to flow from the inductor (32) so as to deenergize the inductor (32) and provide an output current. Only one low resistance current path is provided at any one time.

Ce convertisseur de puissance (20) multiplexeur, qui s'utilise avec une inductance (32) unique, permet d'alimenter de multiples sorties de courant. Ce convertisseur de puissance (20) multiplexeur comporte un premier commutateur (26) établissant un premier trajet faible résistance permettant au courant d'une source d'alimentation (VIN) de traverser une inductance (32) de manière à la mettre sous tension, et au moins un second commutateur (28) établissant au moins un second trajet faible résistance permettant au courant de l'inductance (32) de mettre hors tension l'inductance (32) et de donner un courant de sortie. Un seul trajet de courant faible résistance est établi à chaque fois.
