The invention provides a hair treatment composition such as a shampoo or conditioner suitable for topical application to hair for the repair and prevention of damage, comprising (i) cholesterol, and (ii) a hair benefit agent which is a mixture of a basic amino acid and a fatty acid. Preferably the cholesterol and hair benefit agent are compounded into a dispersion of multilamellar vesicles, stabilised with nonionic surfactant.

L'invention concerne une composition de soin capillaire, telle d'un shampooing ou un après-shampooing, s'utilisant en application topique sur la chevelure, afin de réparer et de prévenir d'éventuelles altérations. Cette composition comprend: (i) du cholestérol et (ii) un agent gainant capillaire qui consiste en un mélange d'un aminoacide basique et d'un acide gras. Le cholestérol et l'agent gainant capillaire sont préparés de préférence dans une dispersion de vésicules multilamellaires, stabilisée avec un tensioactif non ionique.
