ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for reducing drag on cross country skis and maximizing forward thrust; comprised of a cross country ski boot with heel restraining lacing and incorporating a rigid thrust plate permanently affixed to the underside of the ski boot. By shifting the means of obtaining forward thrust from the ski to the boot, the device eliminates the need for wax or other frictionable materials normally associated with cross country skis and reduces the drag caused by such materials while maximizing forward thrust.
