A method of transmitting Internet information between at least some of a plurality of physical nodes of a network is characterised by the following features: - in the case of at least some physical nodes formed by user devices (user telecommunications devices), in each case at least one logic node is set up for non-time-critical information (= non-time-critical data traffic) and at least one logic node is set up for time-critical information, - suitable data paths are made available for each of the two types of information to be transmitted and, depending upon the requirements of the information to be transmitted, the information is transmitted on the data path suited to these requirements. It is advantageous that Internet services of the high quality required for time-critical data transmission can be provided without intervention into the Internet protocol and with a low outlay.
