Optical fiber cable for telecommunication, particularly for local area networks in offices, civil buildings and similar, comprising an optical core formed of at least one optical fiber module with at least two optical fibers enveloped by a plastic covering and a plastic sheath around the modules. The cable comprises a plurality of tensile-resistant fibrous yarns arranged between the modules and the plastic sheath; the strands are arranged adhering uniformly to the sheath, in such a way that the stress to which the sheath is subject in service are distributed uniformly within the core, and form means of decoupling between sheath and modules. Adherence is preferably obtained by means of one or more flexing actions executed during cable construction.
