The invention relates to matrix image recorders, particularly for digital photography, comprising a control circuit at each pixel which permits common control of exposure for the whole matrix. The circuit has five transistors (TI to T5), a photodiode (PDl) and, in addition to a supply conductor (Vdd) and a ground, four control conductors which are: an exposure control conductor (TRA) common to all the pixels of the matrix, a line selector conductor (SEL) common to all the pixels in one line, a reset conductor (RESET) common to all the pixels in one line and a column conductor (COL) to take the signal read at the pixels during a line by line reading of the photogeenerated charges on the pixels of the matrix.
