A binder mechanism (10) is disclosed having a first ring assembly and a binding portion (12, 14). The first ring assembly includes at least one first ring half (16). At least the first ring assembly or the binding portion (12, 14) are a pivotable half that is pivotable with respect to the other to a locked position about a first longitudinal axis. In the locked position, the first ring half (16) is engaged with the binding portion (12, 14) cooperatively defining a loop that is substantially closed to retain a stack of papers or a workpiece. At least one of the first ring assembly (16) and the binding portion (12, 14) is movable with respect to the other from the locked position in an unlocking direction oriented at less than 180~ from the longitudinal axis to an open position in which the loop is substantially open.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de reliure (10) doté d'un premier ensemble d'anneaux et d'une partie (12, 14) de reliure. Le premier ensemble d'anneaux comprend au moins une première moitié d'anneaux (16). Au moins ledit premier ensemble ou la partie de reliure (12, 14) constitue une moitié pivotante par rapport à l'autre à une position bloquée autour d'un premier axe longitudinal. En position bloquée, la première moitié d'anneaux (16) rentre en contact avec la partie de liaison (12, 14) définissant une boucle qui est pratiquement fermée de manière à retenir un paquet de feuilles ou une pièce. Ledit premier ensemble (16) ou la partie de reliure (12, 14) est amovible l'un par rapport à l'autre d'une position bloquée dans un sens de déblocage orienté à un angle inférieur à 180· à partir de l'axe longitudinal à une position ouverte à laquelle la boucle est quasiment ouverte.
