A device is arranged in the drying section of a papermaking machine for reducing the effects of the tendency of a paper web (4) to adhere to a drying cylinder (1) as it passes from the drying cylinder to a subsequent guide roll (2). In the drying section, the paper web (4), supported by a drying fabric (5), is conducted alternatingly over a plurality of drying cylinders (1) and guide rolls (2). A blow box (6) is arranged in the transition portion (A) and has a wall (7) extending in parallel with the drying fabric (5) so as to form a narrow air gap (8) between the wall and the drying fabric. The blow box (6) comprises nozzle (12) having a slot-shaped opening for ejecting a well-defined air jet (P1) towards the drying fabric (5) away from the air gap (8). The nozzle (12) is directed such that its centre plane intersects the circumferential surface of the drying cylinder (1) along a first straight line positioned upstream of a second line, along which the paper web (4) leaves the drying cylinder (1).
Selon la présente invention, le séchoir d'une machine à papier comporte un dispositif permettant de réduire les effets imputables à la tendance que la bande continue de papier (4) a d'adhérer au cylindre sécheur (1) lorsqu'elle quitte le cylindre sécheur pour le rouleau-guide suivant (2). Dans la partie de séchage, la bande continue de papier (4), soutenue par la toile de séchage (5), défile au-dessus d'une pluralité de cylindres sécheurs (1) et de rouleaux-guides (2) en alternance. Une boîte de soufflage (6) disposée dans une zone de transition (A) présente une paroi (7) disposée parallèlement à la toile de séchage (5) de façon à former un coussin d'air mince (8) entre la paroi et la toile de séchage. La boîte de soufflage (6) comporte une buse (12) dont l'ouverture en forme de fente permet l'émission d'un souffle d'air (P1) bien défini en direction de la toile de séchage (5) dans le sens de l'éloignement à partir du coussin d'air (8). La buse (12) est orientée de sorte que son plan central constitue avec la surface périphérique du cylindre sécheur (1) une intersection suivant une première droite en amont d'une seconde ligne correspondant à la ligne de séparation entre la bande continue de papier (4) et le cylindre sécheur (1).
