A building material for covering a frame of a structure, comprising a fibercement board (110) and an article connected to the surface of the board and adapted to receive a fastener (230) to fix the board to the structure (210), the article having a first flange (120a) connected to the board and a second flange (120b) extending beyond one of the opposing edges, the second flange being capable of moving relative to the first flange. The invention relates also to a building system comprising; a main board (110) and an adjacent board (220) connected to a framing element; an article connected to the main board surface and with one flange parallel with the main board surface and extending beyond one of the opposite ends of the main board; and a row of fasteners extending through the article to the framing element to secure the main board and the adjacent board.
Dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention, les matériaux de construction possèdent un système de raccordement qui est agencé de façon unique pour recouvrir le cadre d'une structure. Ce matériau de construction, dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention, est un panneau de construction avec un bord formé en relief sur ce panneau conçu pour s'emboîter ou s'apparier avec une extrémité d'un panneau contigu. Dans un autre mode de réalisation de l'invention, le matériau de construction est un raccord de panneau travaillé constitué d'un panneau de construction et d'un élément souple et articulé fixé à la surface arrière de ce panneau de construction. Cet élément est, de préférence, fixé au panneau de construction par un adhésif et s'étend au-delà du bord et à distance de ce panneau de construction de façon à recevoir une attache destinée à fixer ce panneau de construction à la structure. Cette attache est de préférence un clou. Des composants de matériau de construction sont de préférence fixés au cadre de la structure par une seule rangée de clous, le résultat de résistance au cisaillement de ce système de panneau de construction étant maintenu ou amélioré.
