The invention relates to a step switch with a selector for continuous switching between different winding tappings of a tapped transformer. The entire selector is configured as a separate component group and housed in a separate housing made of an insulating material. The fixed selector contacts are configured in a circular manner and arranged around a switch stick in different planes in the interior of the insulating cylinder. They are switched by selector contact bridges which have radially elastic contact elements and are fixed to the switch stick.
