A three-dimensional acquisition sensor assembly provided with multiple structured light projectors, one camera and a reference beam projector is described herein. The reference beam projector is energized and the camera acquires one image of the object with a dot generated by the reference beam projector. The structured light projectors are then sequentially energized to form patterns of black and white fringes onto at least a portion of a three-dimensional object. For each energization of a projector, the camera acquires one image of the illuminated object.
