A B S T R A C T In the production of wired glass by rolling reinforcement for said glass is fed into the molten glass upstream of the rollers of the rolling machinery, at a rate higher than the speed of the glass ribbon issuing from between said rollers, until said reinforce- ment forms, upstream of said rollers, a slack in the molten mass. Thereafter the feed rate of said reinforcement is equalized to that of said speed of the ribbon, in order to maintain the slack in the molten mass. The reinforcement may be a wire netting of any desired mesh shape and warp wire direction and is introduced vertically into the molten glass upstream of the rollers. The process permits, with the use of conventional equipment, production of wired glass using netting of any shape, without deformation of the shape of the netting or reduction of its strength,
