This application for a patent is for a hand held, credit card sized device to be used for cleaning magnetic stripe card readers. It consists of a blotter like card saturated with cleaning fluid (isopropyl alcohol). The cleaning device is drawn slowly through the card reader in manner similar to the scanning of a credit card thereby bringing the cleaning device in contact with the card readers magnetic stripe reading mechanism and thereby cleaning same.
