In industries such as motion picture, television, and live entertainment, as well as construction and mining, there are high amperage requirements in sometimes remote locations.Mobile power distribution is needed in these and other cases. The industry standard for this power distribution is broken into 20,60, and 100 amp cables and connectors. These cables and connectors are subjected to rough handling as well as wet environments. However, the connectors that are currently used are not waterproof. The product that we have developed comprise of a male and female plug that seal to each other, as well as a boot, or shroud, that seals the back of each plug. This provides a safe waterproof and impact resistant connection. The use of neoprene rubber for the plugs makes this possible. These connectors are also compatable with the current style of plug.
