ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel 5-fluoro-carbacyclin derivatives of the general formula I Image ( I ) (in which R1 represents -CH2OH, Image or Image R2 being H, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or - CH2- Image -aryl or a heterocycle, R3 being a C1-C10-acid group, H optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or -CH2- Image -aryl or a heterocycle and m being 1 or 2, A represents -CH2-CH2-, trans- CH=CH- or -C=C-, W represents free or functionally modified - CHOH-, or -C(CH3)OH-, D represents optionally fluorine- substituted Image or bivalent C1-C10-aliphatic hydrocarbon, a being 1-3, E represents -C=C-, R4 represents optionally substituted aliphatic hydrocarbon, cycloalkyl or aryl or a heterocycle and R5 represents free or functionally modified OH) and, when R2 is H, physiologically tolerable salts thereof with bases and the manufacture of such compounds. The 5-fluoro-carbacycline and salts thereof have inter alia a hypotensive and bronchodilative action and may accordingly be made up into pharmaceutical preparations with suitable carriers.
