- 1 - Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel phenoxyacetic acid derivatives of the formula: Image (I) wherein A is a substituted or unsubstituted 5-pyrazolyl group, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, R2 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkenyl group, X is a halogen atom and Z is an oxygen atom or a methylene group, and salts thereof. The invention is further directed to processes for their preparation. The compounds of formula (I) and their salts have potent diuretic, saluretic and uricosuric activities.
