A blow box used in the drying section of a papermaking machine and a method for sealing a pocket provided with a blow box, and a blow nozzle. The blow box (10) is arranged to eject air away from the space (38) between the supporting fabric (16) and the blow box and/or maintain an underpressure zone in this space. In the interface between the desired underpressure zone and the area remaining outside, the blow box is provided with a sealing element (46), such as a blow nozzle, protruding towards the wire to a certain distance "d" seen from the wire, for forming a seal between the underpressure zone and the area remaining outside the underpressure zone. The sealing element is connected to the blow box so that the element may be moved away from the wire to a distance "D" by a push and/or by an actuator, the distance "D" being longer than the distance "d".
L'invention concerne une caisse soufflante s'utilisant dans la section de séchage d'une machine à papier et un procédé de scellement d'une poche pourvue d'une caisse soufflante et d'une buse de soufflage. La caisse soufflante (10) est destinée à éjecter de l'air de l'espace (38) compris entre le tissu de support (16) et la caisse soufflante et/ou à maintenir une zone sous pression dans cet espace. Dans l'interface comprise entre la zone sous pression voulue et la zone restante à l'extérieur, la caisse soufflante présente un élément de scellement (46) tel qu'une buse de soufflage, en saillie vers la toile à une certaine distance "d" à partir de la toile, de manière à former un scellement entre la zone sous pression et la zone restant hors de la zone sous pression. L'élément de scellement est relié à la caisse soufflante de telle sorte que l'élément puisse être éloigné de la toile à une distance "D" par une poussée et/ou au moyen d'un organe d'actionnement, la distance "D" étant supérieure à la distance "d".
