The present invention relates to a faecal management device (10) designed to provide improved body fit between the flange and the skin of the wearer and thereby prevent leakage. The faecal management device (10) comprises a bag (11) having an aperture (21), and an anatomically-shaped flange (12), which surrounds the aperture (21). The flange (12) provides for adhesive attachment to the perianal area of the wearer. In particular, the flange comprises a projection (28, 29) in the front and the rear portion of the flange respectively, which provide an effective seal between the flange and the skin of the wearer and prevent leakage at the coccyx and at the urinary tract. In another aspect of the present invention, the faecal management device comprising such a flange is used in combination with a disposable diaper.
La présente invention a trait à un dispositif (10) collecteur de matières fécales conçu pour présenter un ajustement anatomique amélioré entre le rebord et la peau de l'utilisateur, et prévenir ainsi des fuites. Le dispositif (10) collecteur de matières fécales comporte un sac (11) présentant une ouverture (21), et un rebord (12) aux formes anatomiques qui entoure l'ouverture (21). Le rebord (12) comporte un moyen adhésif qui permet d'appliquer le dispositif à la zone périanale de l'utilisateur. En particulier, le rebord comporte un élément saillant (28, 29) sur la partie avant et arrière du rebord, respectivement, qui constitue une fermeture efficace entre le rebord et la peau de l'utilisateur, et permet de prévenir des fuites à la hauteur du coccyx et des voies urinaires. Dans un autre aspect de l'invention, le dispositif collecteur de matières fécales comportant un tel rebord est utilisé en combinaison avec une couche jetable.
