A brush making machine with a mold for injection molding of brush bodies is disclosed. The mold comprises a stationary mold part (10), a movable mold part (12) and a pair of insert parts (14a, 14b) fitting into a recess (16) of the movable mold part (12). The insert parts (14a, 14b) have tuft insertion holes (24) therein. While one of the complementary mold parts (14a) fills the recess (16) of the movable mold part (12) and brush bodies are injection molded with tufts of bristles embedded in the molding material, the other insert part (14b) is in a tuft loading station (31) for introducing tufts of bristles into the tuft insertion holes (24). The tuft feeder comprises movable tuft carriers (30) which carry sets of tufts from the bristle containers (51) to the mold. A robot (29) is provided for moving the carriers (30) between the mold and the bristle containers.
Machine à fabriquer des brosses pourvue d'un moule destiné au moulage par injection de corps de brosses. Ce moule comprend une partie fixe (10), une partie mobile (12), ainsi qu'une paire d'éléments complémentaires (14a, 14b) s'ajustant dans un évidement (16) de la partie mobile (12). Les éléments complémentaires (14a, 14b) sont dotés de trous (24) pour l'insertion de touffes. Tandis qu'un des éléments complémentaires (14a) du moule comble l'évidement (16) de la partie mobile (12), que des corps de brosses sont moulés par injection et que des touffes de soies sont intégrées dans le matériau de moulage, l'autre élément complémentaire (14b) du moule est placé dans un poste (31) de chargement de touffes de soies aux fins d'introduction de celles-ci dans les trous (24) prévus à cet effet. Le dispositif d'alimentation en touffes comprend des éléments mobiles porteurs (30) de touffes servant à transporter des ensembles de touffes depuis des magasins (51) à soies jusqu'au moule. Un robot (29) est conçu pour déplacer ces éléments porteurs (30) entre le moule et les magasins à soies.
