The decanter centrifuge comprises a screw conveyor having a body (4), which carries a screw comprising one or more flights (7, 7~) and having a nominal transport speed varying along the longitudinal axis,. An inlet (6) is provided in the screw conveyor for the material to be separated. The screw conveyor is provided with a baffle (8, 8~) dividing the separation chamber in a substantially cylindrical separation part (17) and an at least partially conical discharge part (18). Immediately upstream of the baffle (8, 8~) a transition part (19) is provided between the separation part (17) and the discharge part (18), the screw conveyor (3) having a bigger nominal transport speed in the transition part (19) than in the separation part (17) immediately before the transition part (19), the change of the nominal transport speed being established by a change (21) of the screw pitch.
La présente invention concerne une centrifugeuse de décantation comprenant un transporteur à vis comportant un corps (4) qui porte une vis comprenant un ou plusieurs filets (7, 7') et présentant une vitesse de transport nominale qui varie sur l'axe longitudinal. Un orifice d'entrée (6) est prévu dans le transporteur à vis pour le matériau à séparer. Ce transporteur à vis comprend un déflecteur (8, 8') qui divise la chambre de séparation en une partie (17) de séparation sensiblement cylindrique et une partie d'évacuation (18) au moins partiellement conique. Une partie de transition (19) est placée directement en amont du déflecteur (8, 8') entre la partie de séparation (17) et la partie d'évacuation (18). Le transporteur à vis (3) présente une vitesse de transport nominale supérieure dans la partie de transition (19) que dans la partie de séparation (17) immédiatement devant la partie de transition (19). La variation de la vitesse de transport nominale est définie par une variation (21) du pas de vis.
