A device and a method for peeling shrimps (22) or similar crustaceans, which device is provided with two clamping elements (2) which are capable of clamping a shrimp (22) against a supporting surface (1) with its backside (shell), wherein each clamping element comprises an edge (17) essentially extending towards said supporting surface (1), which is capable of engaging the shrimp (22) on its belly side, near the edge of the shell, characterized in that at least part of the said edge (17) of the clamping element is serrated.

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé permettant de décortiquer des crevettes (22) ou des crustacés analogues. Ce dispositif comprend deux éléments de serrage (2) pouvant serrer une crevette (22) contre une surface de support (1) à l'aide de son dos (carapace). Chaque élément de serrage comprend un bord (17) s'étendant essentiellement vers la surface de support (1), qui peut coopérer avec la crevette (22) du côté du ventre, près de bord de la carapace, et caractérisé en ce qu'au moins une partie du bord (17) de l'élément de serrage est cannelée.
