There is provided an absorbent article, such as a diaper, a pants-type diaper, an incontinence protector or a pants-like sanitary napkin, having a front part, a rear part and an intermediate central part, said article including an absorbent body enclosed between an inner, liquid-permeable outer sheet and a liquid-impermeable outer sheet, and fastener devices (4; 12; 26; 35; 53; 54- 64) for releasably connecting the side-portions of the front and rear parts located on the same side of the longitudinal symmetry line of said article either directly or indirectly, said fastener devices (4; 12; 26; 35; 53; 54- 64) being made of a renewable material. The invention is characterised in that the fastener devices (4; 12; 26; 35; 53; 54-64) are welded to at least one of the outer sheets of said article; and in that the fastener devices and the outer sheet or outer sheets to which the fastener devices are fastened are made of a material having a glass transition temperature which lies between 50- 60 ~C and a melting point which lies between 140-180 ~C, preferably between 150-175 ~C.

Cet article, composé d'une partie avant, d'une partie arrière et d'une partie centrale intermédiaire, comprend un corps absorbant enfermé entre une feuille interne, une feuille externe perméable au liquide et une feuille externe imperméable au liquide, et des dispositifs de fixation (4 ; 12 ; 26 ; 35 ; 53 ; 54-64) permettant la fixation amovible, directement ou indirectement, des parties latérales des parties avant et arrière situées du même côté de la ligne de symétrie longitudinale de cet article. Ces dispositifs de fixation (4 ; 12 ; 26 ; 35 ; 53 ; 54-64) sont réalisés dans un matériau renouvelable. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que les dispositifs de fixation (4 ; 12 ; 26 ; 35 ; 53 ; 54-64) sont soudés à au moins une des feuilles externes de cet article et en ce que les dispositifs de fixation et la ou les feuille(s) externe(s) à laquelle/auxquelles les dispositifs de fixation sont attachés, sont réalisés dans un matériau dont la température de transition vitreuse est comprise entre 50 et 60 ·C et le point de fusion entre 140 et 180 ·C, de préférence, entre 150 et 175 ·C.
